The owner of the bunglo are an old couple who are friendly and warm. The house is big to have a garden. KFC is just opposite, there're some street food nearby, and you can even order a dish with the servant of the guesthouse.
Next morning, the breakfast (bread and coffee) is ready. After breakfast, we took a cab in front of the guesthouse, went to take bus to Parapat. When we got there, it is about 5pm, and we managed to arrive at the Samosir Cottage before sunset.

Samosir cottage is a perfect place for family and budget trip. It is beside the Toba lake which is nice to swim in it. It is near to a number of good restaurant, with free WIFI in its cafe, and motorbike rent service provided. Unfortunately, the standard room which room rate is Rp. 119.000 ( including breakfast for two, 2 choices are offered, either sandwich or noodles) is without hot shower, the evening in Lake Toba is cold! We just couldn't stand with the cold shower, and decided to try another guesthouse in Samosir.
Bagus guesthouse is basically nice, cool, nearer to Tuk-tuk town. We enjoyed the Traditional Batak Dance in Restaurant Bagus Bay on Wednesday. But the room there is not clean, restaurant is expensive, the pool is not suitable for swimming, and there's no free WIFI. The man who rent motorbike to the customer is not honest, he took advantage that he didn't do as promise: full tank of fuel; he even not allow to rent the bike until the next day for 24 hours, his excuse is he needs to wash the motorbike in the evening so that he could rent it to the next customer the next day.
The fifth day , we checked out at the Bagus Guesthouse early in the morning, took the earliest ferry . At Parapat pier, we almost missed the bus to Medan while we were shopping in the shop for some local food.
